THE COLLADO RESERVE

As a partnership between Costa Dulce and Vital Actions, The Collado Reserve is a comprehensive plan for permanently protecting habitat, rehabilitating damaged lands, and stimulating new ideas for environmentally positive community infrastructure.

This isn’t a proposal or plan. Action is already being taken. Approximately 150 acres of habitat in Southern Nicaragua has been put into permanent protection. Strategic reforestation has been launched. Community involvement and economic opportunities are a reality.

The Collado Reserve has a wide range of biodiversity and is home to endangered and threatened species. Our developing habitat protection and reforestation plan strives to encompass thousands of acres of absolute reserve land as well as wildlife migration corridor support.

The Collado Reserve campaign will also provide an honest “carbon offset” program for travelers and anyone else who wants to insure a balance in their affect on our atmosphere.
