Our motivation is the beauty that we defend.
Vital Actions is a grassroots U.S. non-profit with ongoing efforts in Central America as well as a rapidly maturing potential for larger global impact. With your support we create campaigns that yield real results toward total liberation and biodiversity defense as well as the preservation of important climate stability factors. Vital Actions is one of the most resource efficient organizations that you will find with a minimum 95% of donated funds going to direct action. This efficiency yields large scale tangible results while utilizing a very obtainable yearly budget. Also, as funds move through our dynamic campaign models, upwards of 90% of your donations root into local marginalized communities as economic empowerment in the form of dozens of salaried work positions and other financial incentivisation models. Vital Actions ensures that your donation dollars have a very powerful and multi-faceted impact.
Since 2012 our teams have rescued over 500,000 sea turtle eggs from 4 threatened and endangered species. We have strategically planted 85,000 native trees representing 40 species. Inside of one of the most bio-diverse regions on the planet, our Collado Nature Reserve effort in the village of Collado, Nicaragua has now grown to over 200 acres of rescued and protected habitat. We have enacted 1000s of hours of anti-poaching and anti-illegal logging patrols on vulnerable wild lands. We have removed over 40,000 kilos of plastic debris from sensitive habitats. We save dozens of wild and domestic animals each year. Both our organic community garden and reforestation areas consistently share healthy, whole foods and medicinal plants to the households in the nearby village. Vital Actions also stages ongoing mutual aid in the form of disaster relief, civic maintenance, and other basic support when local communities are in need.
